CRE Industry March Madness Party
Each year, our team puts together a March Madness party on the first round of games. What started as an networking event for junior brokers became the spring event of DC’s commercial real estate industry. Our clients gave us money to raffle off epic prizes and promote their building and we were handing out $100 gift cards at the door. Not to mention, open bar. You can envision how this gets popular fast. See below for the evolution of the party and each year’s branding.
2022: The First (and Maybe the Last)
Our team wanted to create an event solely for brokers new to the industry to get together, drink, network, and watch basketball’s biggest event. I wanted a late-night, one-last-drink aesthetic. Over 35? Get lost.
2023: We Should Do That Again
Our first event was so successful, people started to ask if it would make a second appearance. Our clients started to donate more exciting gifts for us to raffle and we exchanged the junior broker crowd for an open invite to any broker. The more the merrier!
2024: The Anticipated Three-peat
The march madness event was officially on the yearly calendar. Our invite list extended to a few cool clients that we knew could party around all the brokers. We rented out the entire venue, thousands of dollars of prizes, and a thirst to challenge the true meaning of an open bar. The branding went MAD.
2025: Nothing but Net
Another year, an even bigger party. 150 guests from all over the industry, plus our trusted architects, national clients, and coworkers across different JLL departments. I wanted something less gritty than the year before, but still as bright as I could get.
